Uncontested Divorce

Uncontested divorce means just what it sounds like.  You may have discussed the issue of separation and dividing assets, but a case has not yet been filed and no party has yet been served.  In these cases, we will work with you to educate you regarding your rights and responsibilities and help you develop a plan for settling the marriage. You and your spouse decide time sharing and parenting responsibilities and how to divide marital assets including: retirement plans, bank accounts, and home equity.  If you are on speaking terms with your spouse, this is the preferred method for dissolving your marriage because you will likely reach a more comfortable decision than the Court.  If you have children, Florida Law establishes requirements for child support and sets out the method for calculation.
